Our Practice made it's reputation originally on the basis of the quality of our Emergency Service. We provided out of Hours Emergency Cover long before other dentists were obliged to do so. As a result we see a lot of patients who only come to see us when they are in pain. This is because they know that we are very sympathetic to their needs and their sense of urgency. |
| During Normal Surgery Hours |

New and existing patients who are in pain can normally be seen on the same day. We have at least 4 sessions every day which are dedicated emergency slots. Normally all emergency patients who want to be seen the same day are seen within 1 hour of arrival. This facility is only available privately. Please call the surgery on 01908 690326 and one of our receptionists will be able to help you.   We prefer patients to let us know that they are coming, it allows us to prepare and more importantly it stops patients turning up when there is no Dentist. Our policy is to provide pain relief as soon as possible and then arrange for the patient to return for any long-term treatment that is required. For new patients there is a minimum charge, the cost of the initial examination, and any other dental charges will be explained. For existing patients, whose check up is not due, there is no charge for the examination, although other charges (x-rays etc) may apply. |

You ring the surgery on 01908 690326 anytime (David's mobile is 07973 227415) Patients have 4 choices: 1. We offer a "Walk In Emergency Session" Monday to Friday at 8.15am. (No appointment necessary, normal patient charges apply) This walk in emergency session is available on normal working days (90%+) but excluding bank holidays and other holidays. 2. You can can call David's mobile on 07973 227415. We work every Saturday (by appointment) and we are happy for you to call us on Saturdays, Sundays and any evening. (Normal charges apply for any treatment provided) 3. You can call 0845 6020703 which is the emergency service which is run by Milton Keynes PCT. (It offers a very limited clinical/advice service). 4. You can ring NHS direct on 0845 4647. This is NHS direct. |
| There are a number of conditions that should not wait and when you should go to Casualty straight away. |

1. A rash or itchiness after taking tablets or any medication. 2. Anything that makes it difficult to swallow or to breath. 3. Any bleeding that refuses to respond to pressure. 4. If you feel you are about to pass out or collapse. 5. Any other situation where you feel you can't wait. |

At MKDentalCare we want our patients to feel welcomed by
our receptionist who sits behind the lovely solid beech reception desk. The waiting room is decorated in warm colours. There is comfortable seating, with couple of high back chairs too. There is a TV which we find most patients prefer. |

David's surgery is large and bright, with the latest equipment. This surgery is always admired by dentists when they visit the surgery, as everything is close at hand, yet hidden away. Cross infection control was at the heart of our surgery planning. |
