We are a small family owned and run practice based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. You are welcome to have a visual tour.
We have one full time Hygienist (Nur), a part time Hygienist/Dental Therapist (Tina Ocal) and one full time Dentist, Dr David Gilmartin. David works Monday to Saturday. We have one part-time dentist, Dr Banergee. Praz works Mondays, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including 2 late evenings till 8.00pm.
Our Practice Manager is Mr Sid Ocal, who is also a qualified and registered Dental Nurse. Our Dental Nurses are Sam Singleton, Sid and Hayley; our receptionists are Lisa and Sam Dolling.
Our Hygienist and Dentist have both been working at the practice for over 20 years. Our policy is to provide continuous care. Patients appreciate seeing the same dentist and hygienist.

We believe that a nicer smile is more than simply Straight White Teeth.
We believe that you have to get the basics right first. So often we see new patients who have paid a lot of money for crowns, which have bleeding around the gum margins, maybe be wobbly, and also have a nasty taste in their mouth and suffer from bad breath.
Our aim is to provide a healthy nicer smile. This is why we always start by getting the gums into proper order. This may be simple but in many cases it requires Gum Treatment with the Hygienists including Fresh Breath Therapy.
We are never too proud to let patients know if we feel the solution to their problem requires a referral to a Specialist.

Dental Bleaching is available but is not suitable for everyone. We offer a free consultation which quickly identify patients for whom bleaching is not appropriate and who would benefit from other Dental options.

We are not in the business of the hard sell and if we are unable to help a patient ourselves we do not regard this as a failure or deficiency on our part because we are happy to refer to specialists and colleagues who we know have the expertise and knowledge to provide the best treatment.

When the new dental contract came out in 2006 we accepted an NHS contract to treat children only; this meant that we would only be able to treat children under 16 years old on the NHS. We will accept all children irrespective of whether we see anybody else in their family. All we ask if that the children and their parents are motivated, capable and committed to life-long high standards of dental health. We will continue offer all our patients the choice of being treated on a private basis.
Patients usually pay for their treatment as they go along. However we now have a scheme for patients who wish to pay monthly. The cost is £8 a month.

We value continuous professional development and recently one of our nurses passed the NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing and received a merit award (one of only 42). Also recently two of our nurses, who are already qualified Dental Nurses, were awarded the Dental Radiography certificate from Bristol University, one of them qualified as a dental Radiographer after getting the best mark in their written exam for the Dental Radiography Certificate.
In addition we were very proud when two of our team have won major dental education prizes. One of our nurses was awarded the highest prize for achievement in their . This competition was open to all Dental Nurses. This was the first time in 8 years that this prestige prize has been awarded. In addition David was awarded the top prize by at the end of a recent . is compulsory for all dentists and the prize was hotly contested over 30 local dentists who took part.
We are now a Recognised Dental Practice for Dental Nurse Training, and at the moment have 3 nurses who are with us for part-time work experience every week. Our practice offers the chance to use the latest equipment and work with the most modern materials, and in addition we also have a very close working relationship with the local Dental Specialists. In the last 5 years or so we have had 3 trainee Dental Nurses qualify after doing their work experience with us.
We are delighted to welcome a new member of our team. Tina is going to be working with us as an Hygienist. She will be working on Saturday to begin with and will be in addition to Nur, our existing Hygienist.
Tina is an experienced hygienist. She commented after her first day how well trained and friendly our team was. She said she was particularly impressed with our emphasis on prevention and the high quality of knowledge of our Nursing staff.
Tina also remarked that our prices for tooth brushes etc were in her experience unbeatable. She also said complimented us on our exceptionally high standard of cross infection control. She said normally when an hygienist starts in a new job she has to make a few changes, however she found we already had all the materials she needed to do 1st class hygiene work.
